ORLANDO AND UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

Left Georgia around 12 noon headed for Orlando. The weather was great until Daytona. The bottom fell out and the rain was torrential for about 45 minutes.
Arrived at the SWAN hotel in the Epcot part of the Disney World Resort. Left my car parked in the circular drive and went in to find Doug. Found him and waited for his meeting to end. Off we go to find a hotel for the night, close to Universal for the next morning.
Other than getting a little lost (Orlando is really confusing). Found a hotel very close to Universal but were unable to check in until later. So we went to a terrific restraunt, Key W. Kool's. The steaks are superb and cooked exactly as ordered. With full bellies, we headed back to the hotel and checked in with no problems. In the room we settled down for the evening.
Up early the next morning, we had our complimentary breakfast and headed for Universal. With a 14 month pass, we had to have our picture taken and an i.d. created. Not many visitors there, so we were able to tour both parks, see and all the things we wanted to do..so by 3 pm. we were ready to leave. Off to an outlet mall for some shopping..Then at 6 pm we headed our separate directions for home.
Just before getting out of Orlando on I-4 there was an accident that stopped east bound traffic for over an hour. After we finally began moving again, things went well. All of a sudden after passing a road sign stating Dayton 18 Miles. An 1.5 hours later I traversed the 18 miles to Daytona..and the 2.5 hours further to home. In Jacksonville, I called to check on Doug. He made it and was ready for bed at 10:00pm. Finally at midnight I made it home. Whew! I was exhausted..
