BROADVOICE BROADBAND TELEPHONE SERVICE
In a previous post, I was totally excited about the new broadband telephone service to which I had subscribed. It is with great excitement that once again I tout this service. After extensive research and comparisons of the various broadband telephone services available, it is still apparent that BroadVoice offers the best rate and the most features than any of the others. For this reason, I don't understand when I see the broadband routers/phone adapters in stores, must are pre-programmed with Vonage. Vonage has a higher monthly rate and charges per minute fees to most countries outside of the United States. Broadvoice, on the other hand, allows calls to 21 countries for their World Unlimited...for NO per minute charges. Everything is included in the $19.95 monthly fee (plus taxes of course). By everything, I mean voice mail, speed dial, auto redial, caller id, ability to check and set things up online(including voice messages) and all calls (even calls that would ordinarily be long distance) and an entire host of other things like call forwarding, call blocking, call waiting....well...you get the idea by now. For an additional $1.95 each, it was possible to set up a number in England so that friends there may dial a local number for them and ring to me! Coolest thing ever! Also, when this number is dialed, there is a distinctive ring so that I know it's them trying to reach me. Did I mention that it is possible to take the phone adapter with me when I travel so that I can make and receive calls any time it is connected to high speed internet! It still does not cost extra! Unbelievable!..yet true!

The only downside that should be noted is that the 911 emergency service is not available at this time. Plans are in the making to make it available, however, and all subsribers will be notified when it becomes available.
